Quinton "Red" Dale Thiry

October 25, 1955 — July 11, 2017

Quinton Dale “Red” Thiry, 61, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 8:44 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at his residence.

Born October 25, 1955, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Paul G. Thiry and the former Nellie Spencer.

He was retired from AirVac, after twenty-nine years where he worked as a machine operator and painter.  He loved to fish, work on cars, spending time with family,  and visiting with friends at the Rochester Truckstop.

Survivors include his children, Jessy Thiry, Jared Thiry (companion Mariah), all of Rochester;  Joe (Michelle) Wolf III, Grovertown, and Josh Wolf-Bradway, Palestine; grandchildren, Chayton Wolf, Maylee Wolf, Kanelee Jackson, and Jasmine M. Thiry, all of Rocheter; and siblings, Paul W. (Irma) Thiry, Denver; twin sister, Brenda  (Herb) Herbruck, Massillion, OH; Ethel Thiry, Minerva, OH; Robert Jake Thiry, Peru;  Midge (Jeff) Hendershot, Canton, OH; and Donald Hall, Minerva, OH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Thiry and step-mother, Mildred, and Nellie Hall and step-father, Walt; and one sister, Vickie Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Johnny Spencer officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.

Visitation will be from 2-4:00 p.m. on Friday before the time of service.
