Raymond Lee Howard, 74, of Peru, passed away at 11:13 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born March 30, 1934 in Miami County, he was the son of Homer E. and Mary M. Wilkinson Howard. On December 31, 1970 he married the former Sandra Kay Brown, and she preceded him in death in 2003.
He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge, Peru. He was a professional sign painter, and he was retired from United Technologies.
Survivors include three sons, Christian James Howard and his wife Tammy, and their children, Mackenzie, Noah, and Tate Howard, all of Inglis, Florida; Raymond Grant and David Grant; two daughters, Mary Helen Miller, Nashville, IN; and Leanne Grant, Nashville, IN; one sister, Bonnie Brown and her husband Wendell, San Antonio, TX; one brother, Richard Howard and his wife Mary, Atwater, CA.
One brother, Eldon Howard, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at McClain Funeral Home.
In accordance with Raymond's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.
