Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Smith, 60, Macy, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 2011 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

Born March 12, 1951 in Rensselaer, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Chester Junior and Mary Ellen Bowman England. On June 19, 1971 in Wolcott, Indiana she was married to Charles "Chuck" Dwight Smith, and he survives.

She grew up in the Wolcott, Indiana community and graduated from Wolcott High School in 1969. She was a member of the former Macy United Methodist Church and currently attended Liberty Baptist Church in Rochester, Indiana.

She was a member of the Allen Township Home Economics Club for thirty-nine years and had served as the County Home Economics President in 1989. She helped with the Soars Reading Program at North Miami Elementary School. Along with her husband, she was active and enjoyed participating in events with several area tractor clubs. She was a bookkeeper and had worked in the community at several area businesses and churches.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Chuck, and her three children Jeff Smith and his wife Nicole, Macy; Chris Smith and his wife Crystal, Denver along with their children, Caitlin and Caleb; and Jerry Smith and fiancAC. Heather Barrett, Deedsville along with their son, Wyatt; one sister, Connie Hughes and her husband Jerry, Crawfordsville; her mother-in-law, Ethel M. Smith, Bunker Hill. She is also survived by five nieces, four nephews, and several cousins.

One sister, June Sheets and her husband Fred preceded in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with Pastor Todd Kauffman officiating. Burial will be in Deedsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Macy Fire Auxillary or Allen Township Home Ec Club.
