Robert Louis Malott, 60, Peru, passed away at 3:24 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019, at his residence.

Born December 9, 1958, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Sammy W. and Virginia L. Godfroy Malott.

He was proud member of the Miami Nation of Indians, belonging to the tribe in Indiana and Oklahoma.  He was a graduate of Logansport High School and served in the United States Army.  He worked for Progress Rail in Peru for several years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and prided himself in taking care of the flowers that surrounded his home.

He is survived by his mother, Virgina L. Malott, Peru; two children, Jeremy R. Malott, Peru; and Amber L. Malott and companion Shane Dickerhoff, Peru; and step-grandson, Corbin Dickerhoff, Peru; one brother, Steve (Patricia) Malott, Peru; and sister, Stacy Wilkison and companion Louie Myers, Jr., Denver.  He is also survived by his furbabies, Frankie, Sasha, Candy, and Pepper.

He was preceded in death by his father; wife, Cynthia Lou Grimes; and twin girls, Jamie and Ramona Malott.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana, with Steve Malott officiating and military rites by the Miami County Military Rites Unit.
