Robert Lee Shafer

Robert Lee Shafer, 90, Peru, Indiana, passed away on Saturday morning, March 7, 2020, at Blair Ridge, Peru.

Born March 1, 1930, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Arnol and Mildred M. Bishop Shafer.

He was a graduate of Jefferson Township High School.  He was an accountant and owned and operated Accura Tax Services, Inc. in Indianapolis, and was still working daily until his recent illness.

Survivors include a sister, Carolyn J. Wilson, Peru; one brother, Harold R. (Charlene) Shafer, Peru; one sister-in-law, Suzanne Shafer, Peru; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Max A. Shafer; and one brother-in-law, Harold H. Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at McClain Funeral Home, 3500 West State Road 16, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Warrell Law officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Greenlawn Cemetery Association.
