Robert Gale Strong

Robert Gale Strong, formerly of Logansport, Indiana passed away on April 20, 2013 at his residence in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
Born December 14, 1920 in Kosciusko County Indiana, He was the son ofHugh M Strong and Alta G. Hibschman Strong. He was a graduate of Metea High School. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Philippines. He married Iona Stroughton on May 4, 1947. They were married at Concord Presbyterian Church in Indiana, and she passed away September 28, 1999.
He had two children Connie Grandstaff and Alan Strong.
He was preceded in death by his wife Iona, his daughter Connie,his brother Lloyd, and two sisters Esther Everest & Opal Grumpp.
He is survived by two sisters, Gladys Coffing and Thelma Butcher, his son Alan Strong, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchilren. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Ash Flat, AR. He loved woodworking.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. on Friday before the service.
