Roger Dale Turpen, 65, Peru, Indiana, passed away at 9:33 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Born March 30, 1950, in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of Charles David and Maddie Opal Whitfield Turpen. On January 22, 1991, in Peru, Indiana, he was married to Mary Ann Tyler, and she survives.
Roger was a US Marine Corps Veteran. He loved spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Tina Louise Todd, Peru; and Crystal Dawn Clark and husband Chad, Denver; two grandchildren, Patrick Lane Gadberry, Peru; and Sam Eric Clark, Denver; and three siblings, Roy Turpen, Peru; Foster Turpen, Fulton; and Louis Turpen, Kokomo.
Military Rites will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
