Ronald Lee Dillman, 82,Twelve Mile, passed away at 10:55 a.m. Friday, October, 4, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor, Logansport.

Born May 11, 1931, in Cass County, Ron was the second of four sons of the late Carl T. and Esther (Dewald) Dillman. On March 3, 1957 at the Corinth Brethren Church, he married Janet E. (Rhinebarger) Dillman, who survives.

A lifetime resident of Cass County, Ron was a 1950 Twelve Mile High School graduate. He served in the Navy Air Force from 1951-1955. Ron was a Korean War Veteran having served aboard the USS Lake Champlain. He also worked for the Civil Service at Grissom Air Force Base in Bunker Hill.

Ron worked for Harold Dewald as a carpenter before he began his career in dairy farming. Ron retired in 2006 after working forty-eight years on the farm. He was a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau, the American Legion, and the Gideons. Ron was a member of Corinth Brethren Church in Twelve Mile.

An avid sports fan, Ron enjoyed following the St. Louis Cardinals, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Hoosiers. His other hobbies included mushroom hunting and fishing.

Surviving Ron are his wife, Janet E. Dillman, of fifty-six years, their children, Kevin Dillman, Twelve Mile, Debra (Bryan) Holliman, Logansport, Dawn Pickens, Warsaw, Dana Dillman, Nashville, Tennessee, and Cynthia (Keith) McIntosh, Nashville, Tennessee.

Also surviving are ten grandchildren; Chasity Dillman and fiancAC. Michael Johnson, DeKalb, Illlinois, Dustin (Megan) Dillman, Lucerne, Ericka Dillman, Twelve Mile, Alex Dillman, Twelve Mile, Matthew Holliman, Logansport, Lindsey (Matt) Dunithan, Milford, IN., Kayley, Brandon, and Ryan McIntosh, Nashville, Tennessee.

Always a great joy, brightening their great-grandpas days were his four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Paytyn, and Addisyn Dillman, and Aiden Johnson, Champaign, Illinois.

Three brothers also survive: Marvin Dillman, Twelve Mile, Carl E. (Shirley) Dillman, Plymouth, and Robert (Linda) Dillman, Logansport. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins survive. One niece, Tina Marie Dillman, and one nephew, Steve Dillman, preceded him in death along with one sister-in-law, Harriet V. Dillman.

Viewing will be on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. The funeral will be at McClain Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 with Rev. Mike Thompson and Rev. Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park in Cass County with full Military Rites.
