Rosanna DeWald Purvis, 91, Peru, passed away at 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2011 at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru.
Born August 1, 1920 in Miami County she was the daughter of John W. and Marie Savage Alspach. She was married to William J. DeWald in 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1963. She then married James Purvis in 1979, and he preceded her in death in 1989.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Hairrell and husband Roger, Morrow, Ohio; Donald DeWald and wife Beverly, Macy; Deloris Kingery and husband Fred, Peru; and John DeWald and wife Cathy, Peru; grandchildren, Lorri Allen and husband Don; Dawn Johnston and husband Bob; Jim DeWald, Brian DeWald and wife Norma; Michelle Brooks and husband Travis; Erika Toman and husband Nick; and Kurt DeWald; nine great grandchildren, and her special cat, Buffy.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Tammy Kingery.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver with Pastor George Dinkel officiating. Burial will follow in Deedsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
