Rosetta C. Burns, 96, Ft. Wayne, passed away at 2:52 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016, at Kingston Care Center, Ft. Wayne.
Born December 13, 1919, in Peru, Indiana, she was the daughter of Orlie P. and Fern Griswald Black. She was married in Peru, Indiana, to Max Burns on April 20, 1947, and he preceded her in death.
For many years, she worked as a secretary for Peru attorney Russell Wildman.
She is survived three children, Melody Fey, Ft. Wayne; Kimberly Singleton, Huntington; and Mark Burns and wife Jackie, Ft. Wayne; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Marjorie Edwards, Mesa, Arizona; Mary Hoagland, Peru; Patricia McIntosh, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Jerry Black and wife Glenda, Cantonment, Florida; Nancy L. Norris and husband Dennis, Twelve Mile, Indiana.
She was preceded in death three siblings, John “Jack” and Carl “Bud” Black, and Ruth Grady and one granddaughter, Elaina Michelle Singleton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. The guestbook can be signed online at www.mcclainfh.com.
