Ruby Leslie Spence Siders

Ruby Leslie Spence Siders, 91, Mexico, went to be with her Maker and Redeemer at 3:39 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at her residence.

Born in White County on April 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lydia Oberlander Leslie.  She married her childhood sweetheart, Delbert LeRoy Spence, and he preceded her in death.  In 1987, Ruby was married to Harley Siders and moved to Miami County, where she lived until God called her home.

She was a member of the Church of Christ at Grissom, and she volunteered at Summit Theological Seminary.  She worked at Bryan in Monticello, Indiana, and for many years as a custodian at Delphi High School.

She is survived by her three children, Ernest Lee Spence and wife Kay, Camden; Ruth Ellen Correll and husband Bruce; and Kenneth Roy Spence and wife Denise, Greencastle; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Klingaman and husband Marvin, Florida; Alma Houser, Delphi; four step-children, 10 step-grandchildren, and several step great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver.  She will be laid to eternal rest next to her first husband at Seceder Cemetery, Carroll County where they will be together forever with their Lord.

Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Ruby requested that no flowers be sent for the service, stating that her friends were the most beautiful flowers.
