Stephen Michael Spangler, 55, Macy, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in the emergency room of Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

Born August 31, 1955 in Peru, Indiana he was the son of Perry K. and Marilyn F. Fouts Spangler. On June 28, 1980 at the Denver Baptist Church he was married to Nancilee Wilkinson, and she survives.

Steve was retired from Grissom Air Reserve Base. He was a member of the Air Force Reserves for twenty years after serving active duty with the United States Army.

He was a member of the Catholic faith and a member of the American Legion in Galveston. He was an avid football fan, loved watching movies and spending time with his family. He was a great cook and enjoyed grilling for his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Marilyn of Logansport; two children Amanda L. Seib and husband Gregory, Carmel, Indiana; and one son Private Michael P. Spangler USMC, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; three siblings, Terry Cundiff, Denver; Kay Spangler, Canton, Illinois; and Jeffrey Spangler and his wife Kristi, Logansport; father and mother-in-law, Leslie and Doris Ann Wilkinson, Macy; and one brother-in-law, Gregg Wilkinson and his wife Pauletta, Peru.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.

Friends may call from 3-7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
