Logansport, Indiana

Thomas Wayne Ross, 74, Logansport, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2024, at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport, following a recent cancer diagnosis.  

Born on June 30, 1950, in Cass County, he was the son of Wayne and Mildred (Fahl) Ross. On September 23, 2007, in Logansport, Indiana, he married the former Catherine Heater. 

Tom graduated from Logansport High School and continued his studies at Manchester College. He had worked in the banking industry for several years and finally ended his working career after working many yeatrs at Wal-Mart in Logansport, spending most of those years in the electronics department. In his spare time, he loved watching the stock market and was always keeping track of the market’s performance. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially the Chicago Cubs, Indianapolis Colts, and Miami Dolphins. He was a music lover who could crank up the volume and listen to his favorite tunes. In addition to his love for all styles of music, he collected Thomas Kincade prints and Tiffany-style lamps.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Ross, Logansport; daughter, Michelle Jenkins, Logansport; ; two sons, Wm. Jeff Looker (Tammy Murry), Fulton; and Wesley (Cassie) Looker, Sr., Logansport; fifteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sharon Jones and Carole Knapp, and daughter, Vickie Crispen-Looker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.  

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the funeral home. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer High School Band Department.
