Vicki Ann (Spitznagle) Little

Vicki Ann Little, 66, Peru, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017, at her residence.

Born November 11, 1950, in Peru, Indiana, she was the daughter of Victor Jacob and Ethel A. Pearson Spitznagle.  On October 22, 1976, in Peru, Indiana, she was married to Lewis H. Little, and he survives.

Vicki was a lifelong member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Peru.  She attended St. Charles Elementary School and was a 1969 graduate of Maconaquah High School.  After graduation, she went to Indiana University, Bloomington, where she studied organ performance and music education.  She received her Bachelor of Music Degree from IU in 1975 and her Masters in 1979 from Ball State University.  For over thirty-seven years, she taught elementary music, retiring in 2012 from Thompson Elementary, Southeastern School Corporation.  Vicki was the organist at St. Charles Catholic Church, Peru, Indiana, where she had played for over fifty years, starting as a teenager.  Along with her husband, Lew, Vicki played with and directed the church’s contemporary music group.

In addition to her husband Lew Little, Peru; she is survived by three sons, P.J. Little and wife Aradia, Los Angeles; Zach Little, Palo Alto; and Luke Little and wife Candace, Farmington Hills, Michigan; one brother, Bill Spitznagle and wife Nancy, Peru; and her beloved boxers, Ellie and Coco.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Peru, Indiana, with Rev. Fr. Adam Mauman officiating.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 3-8:00 p.m. on Friday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, where a Scripture Service will be held at 8:00 p.m.  A time of visitation will also take place one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Memorials contributions may be made to St. Charles Building Fund.
